Reflexology & Massage Therapy for Fertility and Pregnancy

As a qualified Reproductive Reflexologist and member of The Association of Reproductive Reflexologists (ARR), I am trained in the specialist area of Reproductive Reflexology and can assist in encouraging natural conception, as well as treating conditions associated with lowered fertility.

Reproductive Reflexology (Reproflexologyâ„¢) can be used as a stand-alone treatment or to enhance conventional treatments (e.g. Clomid or Metformin). It is a fantastic support to medicated cycles of IUI, IVF and ICSI as well as treatments using donor eggs. Members of the Association of Reproductive Reflexologists are specially trained to work alongside medicated cycles using treatment protocol that we believe works to enhance the medications efficacy.

Sub-fertility / Pre-Conception

Sometimes the causes of Sub-fertility often lie in unnecessary stress and worry. Reflexology and Massage works on balancing all of the body systems while encouraging deep relaxation. This in turn helps alleviate stress and tension thus providing a better environment for conception to take place. Gentle pressure to specific reflex points balances the hormonal system and stimulates the reproductive organs, and massage of the abdomen, womb and lower back reduces stress and tension. Both men and women are encouraged to have treatment during this time.

Pregnancy

Maternity Reflexology uses a natural therapy to support pregnancy and birthing. Fluctuating hormones, weight gain and physical discomfort can leave Mum feeling frazzled. Reflexology is deeply relaxing and can help ease discomfort and calm anxieties prior to and during the birthing process. It can also help with sluggish digestion, fluid retention, sleep disturbance, joint pain (including SPD) and fatigue.

Pregnancy Massage is specifically tailored to the expectant mother's needs. It is also called pre-natal massage. During pregnancy the body changes faster than at any other time and while this can be a wonderful time in a woman's life it can bring its own challenges. It has been shown to be hugely beneficial by reducing stress and anxiety, reducing swelling and puffiness, relieving back pain and muscular tension, easing constipation and digestive discomfort and encouraging deeper sleep. This gentle therapy can be combined with reflexology for increased well-being.
